Headlights

Any pointers before I pull the dashboard apart?
the side lights at the front work, the headlights and main beam do not work, the relays seem to click in and out and the fuses seem to be ok. the common point so far seems to be a "splice" behind the fuse panel...any ideas?

mine did this,turned out to be corrosion in the relays,

+1 Check/change the relays first.

Yep or corroded fuses and fuse holders,mine need cleaning and fuses replacing every year.
