My girlfriend is looking to buy a simple, mans watch. She likes the one below but does anyone have any suggestions of a similar style. She started off looking at a Timex, but the Seiko is better quality, right?

I would definitely go for Seiko over Timex. That's quite a nice looking watch.

What's the budget as there are a lot of other similar looking watches out there?

I think the Seiko would work well. Here's another watch at the same budget but maybe a bit man'ish:

Nice looking watch!

I reckon the blue-faced version would suit a woman better, though.

Seiko are, and always have been fine watches.

Just make sure she doesn't stop shaving her armpits and start hanging out with stocky women sporting crew-cuts and Doc Martins.

Just a warning - s'all.

Mrs. Hog much prefers male sized watches for easy visibility.
Why not search used watch sites for a nice slim line old gold Longines or Omega. I think Tudor sized SS really suits larger ladies!

My Mrs wears a Mondain (40mm) on a regular basis. She gets very positive comments for it however I am aware it is a very different style to the ones you appear to be searching for.

From the website:

. . .Please note this model is not intended to be a replica, but a model in it's own right. . . scratchchin

If ever there was a time for a Soovy style, "Chinny chin chin chinny reckon. Itchy belm", comment, surely this is it...
