Skagen watches
Discussion
I have been given a Skagen 233XLTMB by a family friend who has replaced it, it was his daily I believe. It is in great condition though it could do with a proper clean and a new strap.

I've never heard of Skagen and a quick research doesnt come up with too much, anyone know anything about them? They any good?
I'm also not keen on the strap and so if I keep it I would probably change it to something different, I'm thinking a plain black leather strap - thoughts? Or just get the strap replaced with a standard one and sell it on?

I had a Skagen 15+ years ago. They're nice for what they are. Nicely finished quartz watches for your average person. Somewhat modern in style, not great, but not bad.
I liked it then. Not sure if I'd say that their style has changed much. Still very thin, modern stylings. Not my cup of tea these days.

Cheap catalogue watches aren't they?
I think that's a bit harsh. They're thin, dressy, minimal quartzes. Which is fine, if a little out of fashion these days.If they did an automatic I'd be interested.
