People seem to be moving towards tactical nuke (ie small nuclear missiles) testing, people were blinded by the flash, legged it, and froze.

It does seem to fit with everything.

that was probably the Vodka, the stuff in the UK burns my mouth, so i'd imagine Russian "mountain spec" vodka would probably disolve flesh.

If it was weapons - ie tactical nukes, pressure blast or anything else with an actual "explosion" would the surrounding trees / snow etc not be damaged?
