645CI bluetooth and BMW phone
Discussion
I have had a BMW 645CI for 2 years now and to my shame have never really got the phone to work. If I take out my SIM card and put it in the slot in the front console I can make and receive calls using the steering wheel. It is a hassle however.
The car is supposed to have a bluetooth function but although my phone recognises it when I try and pair it up it never seems to work.
Also my car has the cordless BMW telephone in the console but what is the purpose of that? it never does anything whether the SIM card is in the slot or not. There does not seem to be a SIM card slot in the phone itself.
When I bought the car from BMW the salesman could not get it to work and said I would need 2 SIM cards is that right? The instruction book is useless.
As I said I have managed for 2 years but as I am planning to sell it on it is a little embarrasing telling people I have no idea how to work the phone! Other than that and the slightly hard ride I have loved the car. Much better build than the Porsche/ Jaguar/ Mercedes previously.
Any tips would be much appreciated.
Best.
