How much before a west end play do you actually turn up? My first one after 40 years and my experience of the local cinemax on a Saturday is not helping.

Do I turn up 20 minutes before hand and annoy everyone by trying to be seated with the posh equivalent of a large box of popcorn and a hot dog or do I go really early and just sit there?

Regards

Andy

15mins. Gives you time to get through the crowds, have a whizz and get to your seat. Always use an outside bar as well. Theatre bars are very expensive! smile

Personally I like to get there 20-30 minutes before it starts and have a drink, but as mentioned they are expensive! 10-15 minutes is fine though usually.

If you awake during the performance, try not to yelp...

And do your best to take your seat before the performance starts. Thaere is nothing more distracting for us thespians than to have some Johnny Come Lately shuffling through the audience.

And don't forget to turn your mobile phone off as well smile.

Order your half time drinks before the match starts.
