My Tuscan........................ She's Gone ! ! !

Well, after going to the Chatsworth meeting the Sagaris bug bit really hard and I made the hard decision to put the Tuscan up for sale on here. Only hours after putting her up for sale I had two phone calls within hours from people who'd been following the car and the work that had gone on over the last six months.

The first person to come and view the car bought it. And I'm glad I sold it to the person I did, as he's a long term TVR Owner. I'll not say who it is, I'll leave it to them to put up a post.

Now the search for a Sagaris or late T350 is on. But I've still got to have a drive in both to see if the extra expence for the Sagaris will be worth it. It took me three months to find the right Tuscan, so I'm looking forward to tracking down the best examples.

How did you get it so clean underneath? beautiful.

Just spent most of the winter cleaning it up.

Gunk and WD40 gets any surface dirt off the chassis, and then it just depends how well the cars been cared for as to what state the chassis is in.

No wizardry, just lots of late nights

211 or thereabouts ... depending who you talk to...but fewer Tuscan Mk2 (+Mk3s) Targas (80) and Convertibles (80-105 ??).

I think you'll miss not being able to take the roof off....

I only took it out once with the roof off, for some reason I thing it spoils the shape of the car when you take the lid off.

But luckily I did have A/C, and it worked well.

Polite question - why would one go from a Tuscan to a T350? - not as quick, though maybe a bit easier to drive?

They are with a 4.0 conversion...............LOL.

Yep... Sagaris is the first choice, but there's some scarey colours out there.

I went from a Tuscan to a T350t (both Red Rose) and though you are right the Tuscan did edge it on speed that was only in a straight line. In the real world (and the unreal track world) I am quicker in the T350 than I was in the Tuscan. I feel more able to 'chuck' it around and feel I can thread it though small spaces or avoid pothole/bumps at speed better. I still occasionally bottom it out but now it's the diffuser, not the exhausts. People still stand and stare as they walk down the street or take photos from their cars or wind down their windows as I pass them. They are both great cars and it's been a privelege to own and drive them both.

Incidentally if someone has my old Tuscan (reflex spiced olive with mulberry leather, and lots of miles) I still have a spare drivers seat squab cushion (I had a thinner one made for trackdays) and the bag for the rear screen.
