Not Croydon area I'm afraid, but I'll happily bung you one in the post.

Short it out by connecting the input to the output lugs for now, if you need to use the car.

It won't cause any problem and isn't dangerous.

Andy.

Don, just posted on the "other" forum but you seem to have it sorted, I'll have some with me tonight regardless so let me know if you need one later (i.e. if it's a short term bodge to get the car running).

Loop it out and you'll be fine.

If you are "afraid" to short it out get some electrical flex and strip the insulation off it.

Each of the strands in it is approximately equal to 5 amps so twenty strands will get you going.

Thanks all - binned & bypassed.

Felt expensive before I realised what the problem was - the DREADED BIG FUSE.

Thanks again.

Sorry Kostas, no idea, I just give it to Andy and ask him to fix it.
Have you got his mobile number or is it on the Clever Trevor site?

IIRC Conrads Car Audio (just by the pond in Thornton Heath) sell the replacement midi-fuses - proper sealed, gold-plated jobbies - 2 for £6.
