Hi All . Just got myself a Tamora which is sitting in the garage beside my S Series ( which will need to go soon )
Hope your all as friendly as the S Series guys , met some really nice people there .
I have loads of questions to ask and i know from my S forum lurking that the same stuff comes up again and again so sorry you will have heard this before .
1) Warm up , from cold only rev to about 3k until oil temp reaches 65 . is this the definitive view ?
2) I have read some owners recon on starting up rev to 1.5k for a few mins to get oil up into top of engine , is this good practise . mine doesn't need any throttle to start just picks up and runs fine .
3) Is it really a bad idea to leave car ticking over while taking the roof off etc after cold starting .
4) Book says it has cabin sensors , so if you lock it up with the roof off does the alarm go off .
5) Anybody else find the indicator stalk hits the fan button when to steering column is at its highest .

Which Tam did you buy?

Welcome to the 350, sag and Tam forums.

1) Warming should be under 2k till 20deg
Under 3k till 60+
Full Beans after it reaches between 70-80ish
(Or at least thats how i do it smoe people do it slightly diffrent but its near enough the same)
2)Start engine without throttle. (Using throttle means you need to get throttle bodys checked) Good Practice to start without throttle as you do. Rev slightly to around the 1-1.5k mark nicely to kick oil around engine for around 30 seconds and then drive it. Try not to leave it standing around ticking over cold.
3)Kind of answered above but its better practice to put roof down then start engine.
4)Tam Question (I have T350 so i ain't sure try putting hand in while locked?)
5)No But i don't have my steering wheel up that high.

welcome to the exclusive club, I hope you get as much enjoyment out of her as I do mine

I think your other questions have been answered above

when setting the alarm keep the button presed down for a few seconds the indicator lights will flash three tmes this arms the system but deactivates the microwave sensor

doesnt lock the doors/boot on mine but sets the alarm if they are opened

Now I never knew that! I will give it a try. That said, I rarely have any issues with alarm going off with the roof off.
