Unfortunately my 86 S3 has to go...boo hoo...Ive had an opportunity to buy a house rather than live in the smallest flat in the world therefore its up for sale. Ive advertised it on the For Sale page rather than Auto trader as id like her to go to someone who's going to look after her... Anyway e mail me if youd like any further details...the advert is the latest one on there..

cheers

I had to make a similar choice many years ago. Took me 15 yrs. to be able to get a Lotus once again. I hope you do not have to wait as long as I. You have made friends here, continue to visit and chat with us.

If you ever make to the USA, please let us know, and we will go for a nice drive, visit for a bit, have a few drinks, and have a nice time.

Hi Brett,
Just to say i'm the ad below yours. Hope you do sell quick, and close to your very reasonable asking price.
The two genuine offers i have recieved myself have fallen through due to insurance difficulties and failure to sell current cars. but they were well in your range.
I get at least one internet joker/scam every week, spot them by the way they talk of the car in the impersonal,
ie: "i am interested in the 'lotus esprit S3 normally aspirated',if you will sell me your 'lotus esprit S3 normally aspirated'..."
Always in bad english, normally asking for western union money transfers, always sending too much payment.
Kato is right, the cheque is forged.
It will clear, but it may take the bank up to SIX weeks to find it fake,by then...

As i said though, they are obvious though, thank god!.

Good luck with your sale.

Cheers Paul, funny you should mention it. When i got in from work this evening i had this e mail:

"Greetings,
i browse through internet where you place your advert i will like to purchase kindly tell me the last price for the car an if you will accept cashier cheque let me know .Kindly give me your information(name, address and cell phone number) thanks.
Beast Regard"

I have not put the name incase it is a genuine e mail..but no i shall not be giving my add!....

Shame they have to do this, lets hope if it is dodgy that no one falls for it.

cheers again

Sorry all,i don't know how to do the 'link' thing, but go to this for a real example:

www.craigcamera.com/scam.htm

This is THE common scam.
