What are people using as a seal between the fibreglass body and the chassis to seal/stop chatter. I want something that will keep the water out and not soak the water up and start rotting the chassis.....suggestions please

Closed cell foam/rubber glued to the chassis, could try car builder solutions or suchlike.

As Josh says, Sikaflex (or any other decent polyurethane sealer) is the industry standard for this job, run a bead either side of the row of rivets.

If you are talking body tub sitting on a chassis rail then the closed cell tape is best as you then have a chance of removing the body in the future.

If you are taking a panel and riveting it in place then you need to use a PU sealant such as Sikaflex. Sikaflex is possibly the very best but in our field the cheapest PU sealant you can find will do the job.

The body is in several peices, there is a main rear `tub` and a baulkhead all in molded fibreglass. I did have them sitting on rubber strip, i may go with that again and use some sort of sealent round the inside to stop any stray water ingress.........Martin
