Hi all. I'm off to the Royal Albert Hall for a gig later and was hoping to drive over and park so that I'm not tied down to catching the last train back. Does anyone have any recommendations about where to park? I've not been there before so I don't know what it's like round there.

Thanks in advance. smile

I parked on a yellow line, iirc, on a residential road just after passing the RAH and turning right a couple of times. That was after 7pm though. Enjoy the gig.

I think it will be Sunday laws for parking restrictions today, so a side street like M400 NBL suggested might be your best bet.

Parking is charged up to 6:30 on local pay and display bays - though this might not apply on bank holiday Monday when Sunday rules (free all day) may apply. Mixture of credit card machine and pay by phone bays.

A good quantity of parking is available within a short walk but the earlier you get there the better the choice you get obviously and consider which direction you want to leave too after the show when parking.

I'm not sure what time the park gates get closed either, if you fancy parking there.

Enjoy the show.

Thanks for the tips. We'll be eating in town beforehand so we can get there nice and early. Should give us a bit of time to find a spot. Thanks all. smile

Bare in mind that most of the parking close to the Royal Albert Hall is residential only, so it doesn't matter if it's sunday or not. There are enough side streets etc, but beware the parking enforcement Nazi's hehe

Parking in Hyde Park is free after 7pm, last couple of gigs I've been to at the RAH we parked in a bay beside West Carriage Drive.

TBH I would leave the car at home and get the train - I was at college around for there for 2 years and the parking is horrendous even on a Sunday IMHO.
