IIRC the white one that was Gumball'ed was a 55 plate.

Murci clutches will do 20k miles if not abused / driven by bell-ends

Assuming no dodgy history that car looks like a nice well priced one. Never seen a pre 05 white Murci before

Although it is one of the pre-brakes ones (pre MY05), so it wont stop when you want it too smile

hmm please explain more about the MY05 change , and does that dramatically effect resale value , must of had a hard life then with a clutch change at 5500 , instead of the normal 20k

I'm no expert, but the main difference on the MY05 cars were brakes bigger than the ones off a Fiat Punto that the pre 05 cars had biggrin along with a host of other bits n bobs. Hercules rims were standard to incorp the bigger brakes (the white 04 car must have had those rims retro fitted). Clutch change at 5.5k doesnt necessarily mean a hard life, just that the prev Owner couldnt drive it properly!

Not sure being a 05 car helps resale, as it hasnt helped mine! - its still worth about as much as a good night at Spearmint Rhino!

Ok... I'm really not trying to talk things down - honest!

...but given the recent, high speed, downward trajectory of prices - Doesn't this seem a little overpriced?

- Unless of course it really is as mint as you woulod want? smile

and we all know what happens when you buy "cheap", as with anything, you get what you pay for.

It does look good in white, go and have a look

I have to say the brakes aren't all that bad on pre 05 cars. Yeah they feel like their not stopping you but I can still outbrake my old 360....... as Kev almost slid her up my exhaust pipes!!!

I heard that the Gallardo callipers are the upgrade?

SimonSpider is aiming for that for his 54 Murciélago as far as I know... he had a thread a few pages back which included a chap who has a much cheaper option than fitting the Gallardo brakes and (as far as I recall) at least as good a deal for the actual braking quality...

I fancy a SuperLeggera or an LP640 - I've had the Murci for 2 years now, and I fancy looking at something different for a change. Send me a msg through here if you want to discuss further etc smile
