It could be a number of things & without more info or seeing the car it'd only be a guess as what the problem is.Try taking each plug out in turn to see if all are ok & sparking.
For what its worth my coil pack cracked a few months ago, £70 for a new one & easy enough to diy

How bad is it? Occassional missing or constant missing?
If constant then don't drive - if it really is not firing then you'll have a hot spot, lots of fuel going into the cat, glowing manifolds and other potential problems. The car should run though - mine ran on 3 cylinders once for 1/2 mile or so - the exh manifold was glowing when I stopped! (dufus here had a blonde moment and left the cover off the spark plugs, went for a drive, didn't realise it was needed to stop the HT leads popping off).
Could be HT leads, coil, or something more important. If you're not mechanically minded and the problem is easy to reproduce then call the AA/RAC first.
