Hi. I've an E46 330Ci which has MV1s. I have noticed that the brake calipers are quite tatty looking, and I'm thinking about painting them.
My question is simply what colour do you reckon would work best with my car, which is arctic silver metallic. Links to pictures would be useful.
I'm tempted by red, or perhaps the matching silver, but don't want to 'pimp' the car too much. I really don't want to over-do things but they would certainly benefit from tidying up with some new paint.
Thanks!

The best colour, IMHO, is as close to OE as possible. I use a mix of Gold (15%) and Silver (85%) smoothrite on mine with the retaining clip painted in just silver. See what they look like here.....

Silver or black are the only choices in my opinion. Small standard calipers look absolutely rubbish painted red/yellow/blue. Save that for the big brakes like brembo's or ap's.

Matt, love your handiwork - can you give me a bit more detail as to how you cleaned up the inside of the wheel-arch, the exposed suspension parts and how you prepped and painted the caliper?

ssj, point taken. I think silver it is for me :-)
