We're looking to travel down with some other cars if possible, we in a 09 Range Rover Sport (not super charged unfortunately) so wont being going mad! But at a nice 90-100mph.

Is there a bar / restaurant on the way down that people tend to stop off at?? If so any details would be most welcome. Ta

Andy,

See the first thread on this Le Mans page on the PH website for all the details of eho is travelling when and via what crossing etc.

We're using Eurotunnel on Friday morning so assuming you're travelling at around the same time we'll look out for the RR Sport.

Re stops, it depends on the route you take of course. Assuming you don't use the auto route after Rouen there are a number of places but based on prior experience many get booked up for lunch, so I recommend stopping early rather than late.

As we're heading for Falaise to stay the Friday night (and the Sunday too) we will be heading on the northern auto route and avoiding Rouen.

By the way, my pasenger is coming from Cambridge too!

Andy,

My son lives in Fen Bitton. He's staying with me on the Thursday night. We'll be travelling in my Jaguar S-Type 4.2 V8 British Racing Green.

Matt,

Harston, Porsche garage, I know it too...my son was thinking of buying a house nearby recently but has decided not to proceed.

Don,

Same train as us!

May spot you all on the route down?

Hi Matt T, Roger,

Small world eh!

Matt you would have no doubt seen the D14PER and D12PER number plates around being so local.

They have previously been on Cayenne S, 997 and recently a Boxter but due to arrival of baby I have a Ranger Rover Sport and yes I recently bought an Audi A5 from Gary Vindis a month ago. Would be good to catch up when your back. Although I may be out in Dubai in the next 2 weeks anyway.

Roger, we'll keep an eye out for you and your son.

Andrew

Matt,

I grew up with Lee and his brothers, the Vindis family bought our house. I saw Leee recently in unfortunate circumstances that I'm sure you are aware of. I have some funny stories to tell you about young Lee . . . .

I just waiting to find out whats happening regarding my business trip, but I'll probably stay at One and Only Royal Mirage. Now we defo need to catch up for a beer either way at Le Mans.
