Just a quick query. I've seen a Bronze Red S1 for sale. I want an ELise for the summer but then intend to sell. Is Bronze Red a colour I'll struggle to sell on?

Arnie, never heard of it on an S1. I once saw a bronze S1 but only ever once and that was in the hedge having deposited it's nose on the armco near Washington A24 Northbound.

If it's the same, it's not the most popular colour IMHO.

Selling on at the end of the summer is going to be the biggest hurdle. Colour is very subjective and the market for these cars is so small and specialised compared to mainstream cars that colour seems to make little difference. If you like it, buy it.

Any idea how the lens protectors are fixed? You normally see the black sealent around the edges.

Thanks for the comments smile

The rear of the lenses have been painted red and then the tape is underneath the red paint so you can't see it

p.s. the honda in the back adds to the experience! wink

Ahh. You cunning bd! I might pinch that idea if you don't mind. Looks far neater than the usual bathtub sealant job. Did you have to prime the glass with anything?

Ta, may give it a go then. Mine need re-sealing any way. Lovely looking car by the way.

Can honestly say that when looking for an Elise the colour meant zilch to me - more the quality of the paint and bodywork, but even then this took 2nd place to engine and gearbox.

They are very similar. I hate red cars but really liked this colour hence buying the car.
