MOT in Guildford

Hey guys, I haven't lived in the area very long so i'm fairly clueless when it comes to good garages. Can anyone recommend a good place to get an MOT done in Guildford or within about 5 miles of it? It's only for my girlfriends KA but i don't want her getting ripped off. Thanks in advance!

Pantec on the A3 southbound between the Cathedral and A31 seemed a decent bunch when I used to take my old car there for MOTs - the odd bulb now and again was about all I ever got.

After reading this, and not being able to get a slot in the garage I have been using in Woking the last few years, I gave Pantech a go, as they are not too far from work.
Put both cars through the last few weeks, and the guys where great, even given short notice, and fast although I have left the cars with them for the afternoon.

My mrs's car failed last week in Guildford when she took it to HiQ. Failed on the hand brake cable being snapped, and considering when she dropped it off it was on a nice firm 3 clicks, when we got it back it went up to 7 clicks and was screwed! But then again thats the whole point of on MOT! I wasnt ammused at rolling around on the floor on Saturday fixing the bloody thing, missing all that lovely sun!

I say HiQ is the same as Kwick fit! 'nuf said!

Take it to the council place as they are a lot fairer. Harder to find though, I don't know where it is unfortunately

It's by the A3 junction by TravelLodge/Spectrum on the main road out to Woking via Slyfield.

Just bringing this one back up - anyone recommend anyone in or around Godalming to MOT the other half's Lupo? Otherwise I will give Pantech a call.

Its off the A320 by Stoke (look for the refuge lorries). I took mine there when I lived in Guildford, very good place.

My local garage in witley always takes mine to Farncombe Service Station on Meadrow - never had anything that wasn't a fair call, but then they know they won't be getting the work as its been presented by another garage.
