Hi
So having owned my wedge for a few years now, I was just thinking apart from the bits that keep falling off and having to be put back on, is it only mine that ?

A, When you turn the lights off that the right hand light pops up again to wink at people?

B, That if you switch on the ignition and wait, the rev counter then flys round to 5500 revs on its own, with out starting, the only time a V8 is silent at that revs?

the 5500 Rpm indication on the rev counter is a tell-tale from how high its been revved since it was last reset in the ECU.


If you plug in the laptop one of the options allows you to reset it.

So yes it is just yours....

I always enjoyed the winking must be my cockney background

The ECU can be 'reset' by disconnecting the plug from the ECU for a few mins.. also disconnecting the battery (-) should have the same effect and the headlight winking is usually a sign that the height is not correctly adjusted..
