So, we've answered a 50 question quiz which is based on crossword type clues to which the answers are all singers or bands.

We're stuck on 2 questions and wondered anyone could do better than we have.

1) The very end of a salad leaf

2) Area for young men

Anyone have any suggestions? For the second question we're currently thinking either 'beach boys' or 'backstreet boys' but they're probably both wrong!

We thought that, but surely it's a song rather than singer or band?

Yep, agree with 1 though it seems a little tenuous. I preferred 'The Killers' which was our first guess before we decided on Slade smile

I'm racking my brain for what we concluded (4) was. 'The originals' was an option, but not what we decided upon....

I was thinking of Megadeth, The Killers and The Ruined for #1, but the 'ed' on the end of 'slaughtered' meant it had to be something ending in the same tense.

Wouldn't have got slade though, as the past tense is slain not slayed!

I can see where you are coming from, but "St George slain the dragon" doesnt really work, does it?

No, because that's another different tense as well, and should be "slew".

"The dragon was slain by St George" is perfectly correct.

We had 'The Real McCoy', but the Real Thing were bigger so you're probably right!

Indeed. After consulting with you lot, we got all the answers right. Didn't win anything though! smile
