Hi all,

looking for some seats for my Dax Rush build. I'm quite taken with the JK composites ones but I wonder how comfortable they are for extended use. Definatley want something with a good supporting bucket shape...I want something that will be good for trackdays but also for the odd weekend's touring.

Anyone have any experience of these? Or any thoughts on seating in general?

I have R500 fibreglass seats in my Westfield and have found them good for around town and for extended runs (two hours plus). I was prepared for them to be more uncomfortable than they turned out to be. I have a closed-cell polyethylene foam pad (a section of a camping bed roll) for longer periods behind the wheel since the R500 seats have zero padding.

I've found the fibreglass seats can get sweaty when the ambient temperature gets above thirty Celcius. Also coming back to the car if it is parked in the summer sun can seriously fry your butt. I'm in Oz - these issues may not affect you.

I had Cobra Roadster 7 seats prior and they were pretty comfy. I just wanted to sit lower and further back than the Cobras would let me.

On the assumption that you are fitting four / five point harnesses, make sure you get pull-down adjusters not pull-up or the buckles will likely disappear behind the seat.

Regards,

Jamie

I have Triton seats in mine. Similar to JK... (I looked at those but wanted to mount mine on runners so went with the Tritons)

Also used some Tillets in a friend cars over long distances.

Weirdly these type of seats are MORE comfortabe than the original Westy seats... I don't know how it works.. but it does!

get them!
