100 cell cats for E39 M5

I'm after a pair of 100 cell cats for the M5, can anyone recommend a manufacturer for this?

Excuse my ignorance, what are 100 cell cats and why is this better than a normal exhaust?

Less restrictive than the stock Cats so they allow faster gas flow. Couple that to decent headers and a free flow pipe and smoother intake and you get more power and a nicer sound.

What are you doing on Piston Heads if you dont know what Cats are WRT cars...!!

Thanks - and to be honest I just drive the car and have very little mechanical know how - thats what I employ a mechanic for!!

I lifted the bonnet and it looks like you need some sort of degree in complicated stuff to anything more than top up the washer bottle or oil.

If your refering to an E39 M5 then try looking under the bonnet of a modern car! Some are just silly!

Most of the decent exhaust suppliers do some amazing 100 cell cats....Racing Dynamics, CA Automotive, Eisenmann I believe and no doubt Tubi Style can help you find the right ones too.

Lee did you get the cats? Interested to hear your views on sound increase, looking for a littl more on mine but not loud. More flow would of course be useful too.

No not yet, will be ordering them in a couple of weeks. TorqueFlow have come back with £220 each fitted for 100 cells.
