Thought I would post to say just how impressed I was with the trackday I did at Bedford last saturday (May 2nd)

It was a new format for them. GT circuit in the morning and then in the afternoon a chance to drive the Formula Jaguar single seaters on the west circuit in groups of 10. The trackday also continued on another circuit layout (I think North east?) for those not currently driving the Jags.

The whole day was amazing. It was slick and professionally run as ever. From the friendly and helpful girls signing you in, to the understanding and very experienced marshals and instructors.

Driving standards were great all day, weather was superb and it was great to change tracks after the morning. Really mixed it up nicely....

as for the Jags? AWESOME as ever. If you haven't been lucky enough to have done a Motorsportsensation day before then next time Bedford offer a similar day make sure you book! its the best £100 you will ever spend. Its not like at other circuits and their single seater experiences that can be VERY VERY tame... these are FAST cars and you can REALLY REALLY push them....

and the video you get with them of yourself driving is just sensational. Soooo coooool!!!!!! will try and post mine on here...

Its also worth noting that the cars are far easier and more fun to drive now with the paddle shift sequentials and atmo Jag engines than when they have the Audi turbo engines and dogboxes if you had driven them a few years ago

Superrides out with instructors in the Jaguar JP1's were also available throughout the day if you want to see just what a proper driver and car can do!

Overall... easily the best trackday I've ever done!

Well done MSV and all at Bedford.

Cant wait till the next one!

They do a half day thing now to drive it and the JP1

And this link for all the MSV trackdays. Just pick out the Bedford ones. Hopefully they will do another similar day soon where you drive your own car and the jag. I've driven it 18 times now... and I would do it again today if I could!!! LOVE IT!

yeah i had a great day. with only 40 cars, the gt circuit was almost empty! the afternoon course was South - East - North. Very fast, flowing and fun.

My brother was sharing the 205 - not his first trackday, but his first in that car. i really enjoyed keeping up the roadsport caterham in the afternoon, and also being slowly gained on by the 2 csl cars.

i didnt do the jags as i have driven them once before - although i was tempted to try to get closer to the pro time (was 2.4 secs off on lap 4). My gearbox was slowly failing in th afternoon which lead to catastrophic failure yesterday when driving on the road!!

porkie - i don't think we were ever on track together - not that i could keep up with your westie...

Things must be getting worse for Dr Palmer as you now have to pay for hot drinks (still lots of biscuits though)!

40 cars registered. I rarely saw more than 5 cars on track at the same time.

Great day.

Though didnt like the SEN circuit, but finished the tyres anyway so left early.

Are you Tullio's colleague?
