Does the fuel pump prime when the ignition is turned on ? ( this will verify ecu is geting power )

Could the AA man communicate with the cars diagnostics ( if yes, at least the ecu is getting power )

Does the engine wind over ?

Are you getting no spark or fuel delivered ? ( check for signal at injectors )

If the ecu is getting power, but not delivering anything to coils or injectors...obvious one would be faulty crank trigger.

Again, if the AA man hooked up a scanner...that should be easy to spot ?

If the pump doesnt prime...and assuming the ecu is still alive. Sounds like it isnt getting powered up.

Why...is another matter.

The immobiliser will probably interupt 2 circuits
The ignition/starter and the fuel pump.

Try rinning a wire from the battery+ directlt to the + of the fuel pump.

MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT MAKE SPARKS AROUND THE PETROL END wink

It was almost certainly the immobiliser- I've seen a few like this. Disconnect the battery for 10 minutes to reset it, then remove the battery from the key fob, press the buttons a few times and refit the battery. Hold both buttons down on the fob until the light starts flashing and press the unlock button to re-synchronise the fob. The instructions should be in the owners handbook.
