I need to buy 50% by volume Hydrochloric acid, where can I purchase this, I have rung around the yellow pages but no luck, I don't even need that much of it.

'50% by volume' is a quaint term these days - it's usually expressed in M for moles.

However, quite how many moles you can get in half the volume remains to be seen - electrochemistry was my A-Level Waterloo!

Yes, and yes about the drain cleaner, but its normally only 10%. I'm not going to suggest evaporating any off
