Is there a safe way to electronically gift microsoft points?

I want to send some to my son.
I read you can only gift points in the US.
I want to do it tonight and the car is broken so i can't buy them from the shop or go up there and put my details on his machine.

There are a few companies that sell them online either on fleabay or do a google search, they will then email you the code to enter on the machine, just forward him the email.

MS points are only a code under a scratch and sniff card.
You could buy them from anywhere and get it posted to your son (GAME, Gamestation, and Play.com etc)
You cant send them directly to the xbox, all you are doing is buying a combination of numbers and letters.

Or read the code to him over the telephone. Easy peasy.
