This is a question aimed at Rick of DMS, but anyone else who knows, or has had it done, please feel free to chip in.
As the thread title suggests, I'm wondering if it's possible to retrofit cruise to a 2005 DB9.....and if so how much it would cost.
Thanks

Thnaks for the prompt reply Rick. Sounds like a reasonable proposition. I might look at having it done the same time I bring it to you for it's next service.

Cruise control systems don't yet have an automatic setting which downshifts thrice and floors it every time it passes through a tunnel so its not really practical for Astons. spin

Would like to fit cruise control to my V8V. Would this be in the same ball park?

I did this to my V8V. As long as you have the bluetooth module its just the cost of a replacement steering wheel with the CC buttons.. think it was around £400 + fitting.

So I was wondering in general what factory upgrades can be put on a early DB9?
I was thinking
- ipod
- bluetooth
- Sport Pack
- quicksilver
-cruise control
- skid guard plate
Anything I missed? What about transmission software upgrades? Also are their any major differences between an MY05 and MY06 ?

Yes, as long as you have Blue Tooth all they do is update the software.
My dash shows 'CRUISE' when the CC is activated.

Hi mark The dash lights are standard so no issue there, it is just steering wheel new switch and software update,

New steering wheel wasn't delivered from Aston Martin in time to have this fitted during the service, but having it done when I get back from Canada later this month. Will report then.

Can I be a wee bit nosey and ask what you paid for the steering wheel?

reading a little more, I have the wheel, I have intent to fit the airbag from my 05 wheel to the V12V perforated wheel I have purchased - this has all the switches fitted. Can I just go to my local dealer Aston Long Stratton and ask them to flash Cruise Control enable? Anyone have an idea on how much I should be charged??

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!
Pete
