I'm looking to find out if anyone has used ChipsAway in the Glasgow area and can recommend the 'local' guy. I've tried dropping Jamie Birks an email but he has passed me on to a guy called Keith Malley.

Anyone used him before???

Have used him before, v happy with his standard of work. smile

You might have to wait a bit as he can be booked up a few weeks in advance (suppose that's a good sign though!)

Cheers for that. Always better to hear it from someone who has used him before

OP (or anyone else), any feedback on using Keith from Chipsaway or the chap at Spectrum, some kids threw a rock at my car last night and I now have two deep chips with matching dings underneath that need looking at.

I'm curious how much you guys have paid for any work done also, PM me if you don't want to post up the finer details for any reason.

Cheers

Could do, cheers for the offer, I'm guessing it may be cheaper if he has less distance to travel, and I'm in no rush.

However...I'd sent an email enquiry over on the Spectrum website last night, as I'm curious how they'd remove the dings - according to the website it appears they fill and paint dents, whilst paint is required I'd rather the dents were massaged out using the paintless dent removal method, with the paint chips touched up afterwards, however most of the paintless dent removal guys don't seem to do paint touchup also!

If I've not had an email back I'll call him later and see what he can do for me before deciding who to use.

Not used Spectrum but have used Keith at ChipsAway.

I doubt there will much difference in how they approach the job or the price they charge. I get what you’re coming from about pulling rather than filling a dent but in reality you won’t know once it’s done. I’m guessing here but doubt either of the guys mentioned would pull the dent, give them a call and find out.

The wife had some work done on her car a few months back. As it was more of a part re-spray we didn’t take it to Keith but instead used a supposedly top notch painter (think they carry out work for the local Audi & Porsche dealers), I could have done better myself.

As said in an earlier post I’ve used Keith and am v happy with his standard of work, for that reason alone I will use him again as I know what I’m getting.
