How I intend to build my CAN-AM

Like probably many on this board you have had lots of nice cars my last being the Ferrari 355.
Why I like the Ultima is that if I was designing a supercar, this is what I would design.
What I am intending to build is primarily a road car that is why I have opted for the zz4 355hp engine and full screen with convertible top.
I intend to have full leather interior, full carpets right up to the cills with alloy or carbon fibre cill covers.
Normal seatbelts not 4 point harness, want to be able to jump in the car and go, put seat belt on as I travel.
Want full centre console with Ferrari type alloy H gate around the gear stick. The stick is in the middle not on the right hand cill which is an option in the UK.
Anyone else built the car with this in mind or have they all been built with the idea to get the most performance out of it as possible.

I have much of what you bescribe... full leather, hood, stereo.....
For the stereo to be effective you will need to add sound matting to your list (for the alloy pannels).
The leather is a requirement IMHO in the canam having had over an inch of rain fill the seat when it was caught in a storm (pre hood).
I'm a little concerned with you not having the full harness.... IMHO you will need it in this car, you passenger certainly does. It's a close cockpit and any movement could end in serious injury.
I definatelly don't think normal belts are good enough.
Also having a large console in the middle could push you more to the side of the car which again IMHO will seiously ruin your driving position with a badly offset steering wheel and pedals.
After the 355 this car will blow your mind.

If you go the full carpet route I think you should not carpet the top of the sidepods.
Rain collects on the door and dumps onto the top of the pod when you open the door. I have seen drivers open the door a crack to reach inside for a cloth to wipe down before opening fully.

Steve... you are of cause refering to the GTR, This does not happen on the Canam as the doors open differently.
