Is it a track day, or an experience day?

If it's the latter, then the instructors there will tell you know anything you need to know.

If it's the former, then I'd guess the owners will tell you what they want/don't want you doing with their cars.

Hello

I'm Rob, fairly new on here but been browsing a while and you all seem to be a great bunch.

I'm posting because I'm due to go on a track day at Elvington in York this weekend and I'm not sure what to expect from the cars. I drive a Fiesta, but on the day i'l be getting behind the wheel of a gallardo, ferrari 360 and ariel atom. I'm expecting this to be a completely different world and as such, cannot prepair myself. Could anyone give any advice as I have never driven a car with any more then 300bhp, and certainly never been on a track!

Thanks for your time! smile

From what I hear, you don't get to drive them that hard anyway, so I wouldn't worry.

I know a couple of people who have done similar and have just had the instructor telling them to slow down all the time. Obviously it varies from company to company though, so you may scare yourself biggrin

Have fun though.

Best hint I can give is that the guys who get held back or slowed down are always the ones who think they know more than the instructor laugh
