5 weeks till we leave home

Don't know if I'm the only one, but I've been driving my wife and kids mad since last July when I and they decided that I'd be going again this year.
I really think they'll be glad to see me gone, at least they'll get a week of being able to talk about anything without the conversation being hijacked by me and turned towards matters in La Sarthe.
Had a spare half hour today and wrote out my lists of things to pack in the car, things I still need to buy/arrange, car maintenance jobs, etc, etc.....
Perhaps it's because the weather's been so poor for the last 2 years and the law of averages says it's got to be good this year, or maybe it's because I'll be camping with a decent bunch of folks, or maybe it's that I really know what to expect that I'm sooooooooooo excited, but the next 5 weeks will feel like a year!!
My greatest expectations are for the sound of those cars as they go past at the start of the race, the creative and engineering genius displayed by the brilliant Brits (and others) on mad Friday, the great atmosphere created by so many petrolheads crammed into a tiny part of a foreign land and finally the journey there and back!
Sorry to drone on but I've been banished to the office and the keyboard's my only audience, I just hope I'm not the only one.

smaller group for us this year, but uncle (and godfather) coming for first time, my dad is coming for the third time, my other half is coming for the first time, and three more with 43 years experience between us.
Been talking about it since about July last year!!!
Uncle has a fairly big motorhome, other half is a chef.
It's looking good.
Best bit? Running to see the cars at 2nd qualifying on Thursday night.
The rest is a blur normally!

I love it Le Mans knocks all the other events into a cocked hat it is the greatest event relating to motorsport that exists and I cant wait to get out there it cant come quick enough for me.
