Mental. You wouldn't catch me standing next to an old Derwent the first time it is fired up in god knows how long.

How do they know it's firing on all combustion chambers - only a few seemed to be lit?

fecking love it! When i built my first mini engine and fired it up for the first time, my neighbours come round to congratulate me; a seemingly huge achievement for a 17 year old. They all commented that it would be great when i finished it and put the exhaust on. At which point i pointed to the shiney metal thing at the back of the car and said, "its on, why does it sound like its running rich?" Needless to say there cheer for my success was short lived, now knowing that they would have to live with what sound like a screaming hellcat every morning at 0600hrs when i went to work...... The joys of a mini made in 1970..... hahahahahaha

Depends on whether it is on a conveyor belt or not...

Not quite as good as making one from an old truck turbo and some plumbing materials, but I still approve of their madness biggrin

Superb. Totally impractical and serves no purpose whatsoever other than to make wives and girlfriends think you are mental.

Excellent work!
