[xxx] replaced by <xxx>

I just noticed that a post I edited had the formatting delimeters "[ ]" (eg. [ big ] [ /big ]) replaced by "< >" after editing. I have noted that this also seems to happen when text containing delimeters is quoted.

BTW - I do appreciate that the HTML command delimiters are "<>".

PS - Edited to say that the topic title originally contained "<xxx>" at the end, but this was apparently ignored/deleted, and the spaces around "big" above were inserted so the commands weren't interpreted - S
