Fintray House Hillclimb is on this weekend with over 100 cars each day from small saloons to fully blown F1 engined single seaters attacking the very demanding twisty track. £4 for adults and £2 for kids and pensioners for the day. Food and refreshments are available as well as being able to mingle with the drivers and their cars in the paddock. Good day out for the real motorsport enthusiasts. Come and see real racing drivers (not ones that play at being one at some venues I will not mention) against the clock with a need for speed.

Fintray Hill - From Aberdeen, head out the Newmachar road from Dyce and take the left immediately after the old railway bridge 1/2 mile from Dyce. Follow for 2 miles and you'll see signs directing you to the spectator car park on your left. Great weekend out if you're a petrolhead

Still demand for marshals if anyone can help.

There for 8.30am, you'll get

a) a free lunch and a wee 'donation' for your help

b) the best seats in the house

c) to help run the event giving you a sense of satisfaction that, without you, 108 (Saturday) and 117 (Sunday) idiots would not be able to race their cars.

Go on, you know you'll only be doing the shopping or something else mundane if you don't marshal!

Cheers for the directions guys, unfortunately I'm in Stirling and only have a few hours off this weekend. Will be keeping a lookout for the next one as an excuse to find a nice "drivers" route to Aberdeen - sans le gatsos

Either you weren't trying hard enough or you were sandbagging.

Which ever way..... not good!

I assume therefore that’s it's just a typo error why your name is not listed on any of the class records for this so "unchallenging" of events, oh sleepy one!!

Fortunately for Scottish motorsport 100+ other competitors have deemed it a worthy enough challenge, to spend a lot of time and monmey this weekend trying to stay awake and master it!!

If you have nothing constructive to say about Scottish motorsport just go back to sleep please. Just checked my records I think someone is telling porkies about competing at Fintray aren't we Mr Knox

Nice pics Chris - The top one is my son Neil in my car, which he has beat me in at Doune and again this weekend at Fintray - BTW - he got fastest in class award today.

I would have to agree, a good area of motorsport to be involved in, but i wouldnt go as far to slate circuit racing. A lot of differences between racing the clock and racing others.

its a power hill, never enjoyed it.

used to compete in A2 in 2007,

its a 300 mile round trip for about 3 miles of competing over the weekend

everything else about the event is fantastic, good spectating, good setup in the paddock but the 3 corners just dont do it for me
