Abandoned Cayman in Nottingham?

There was a thread about cars like this but I can't find it so am starting this one! This car has been seen in the same spot by me for months now - I've always noticed it and thought it the wrong colour but right wheels in my opinion. I always assumed that it was someone who worked in the shopping centre this car park is attached to and they parked it at the 'far end' as it were so it was out of the way. It would appear not. Car has to be moved by the end of this month or action is being taken. Close up I can see that this car has been here for months and was'nt a favourite spot of the owner after all! Makes me very curious.

What happens to these abandoned cars, there is a Hyundai Accent at college which has been abandoned, clearly not quite as exotic as what your posting but it did get me thinking. Are they auctioned off or what?

Well, the Gayman is taxed and insured.

So you have to assume that it isn't actually abandoned.

There was a 996 C4S in exactly the same circumstances at The Spectrum Leisure Centre in Guildford not so long ago, if I can dig up that thread I'll see if I can find out what happened to it

Ok, so we've established it's taxed and insured - why the hell does that mean it's not abandoned? Tax is up at the end of June, let's say the insurance is too - what's to say the car has'nt been there 10 months? I don't think this car has moved in 2009.

The paperwork attached to the car has it down as a 'Kayman' FWIW.

seems like a nice car even if its a gayman!, tempted to turn up with a trailer and apply for v5 and look after it for when owner finally remembers.

My guess is the car has been stolen and subsequently dumped.

And it's fooling us as easily as it fools ANPR simply by wearing plates cloned from a Cayman that hasn't been.
