Maserati extended warranty

[achilles8]

I have been told by joe macari guys that maserati is going to announce a new extended warranty scheme in june. They have no details of how much it will cost, I am plannin on getting an extended warranty on my quatroporte in august when the car becomes 3 years old. Does anyone have experience with these, are they any good?

I was told last year that the Trident Discovery warranty (now discontinued) was £1700 per year plus £400 for the annual inspection. Generally they were a decent warranty, however those offered by Warrantywise(3rd party) were meant to be cr@p and people had to fight to get claims paid on occasion.
