For some reason we can't get a weekend at Folembray until November 2004.

Do Dijon instead Ted: go on, go on, puuuuurleeease.

Edited to add: They don't have noise meters there.

Fabulous circuit, pretty good guarantee of fine weather, nice location to stay in and lunch to die for! Only downside is that it is further away than Flobenray.

They have a karting track which might make for a fun Sunday morning event after the track day. Oh, and BookaTrack are known to them having organised a day there last year.

Ted, Does this also bring the Spa possibility back into the frame. I know that you were talking about this a while back, but it was put on hold because of Folembray?

So much for being a loyal customer - they had a weekend a year sorted for the forseeable future until turning PH down

Jonny's offered us a date at Spa in August, but that's the wrong end of the year really. Dijon is a possibility but we'll need more cars than ever before and it's more expensive, hence more of a gamble.

Other options are being investigated.

I'm sure that you've thought of this, but there are a number on here that would pay a reasonable deposit early for a PH European track day, especially if reward was a top track at a decent time of the year.

This would at least mitigate some of the risk.

I thought all the places for Flobenray sold out pretty quickly - surely finding another ten punters shouldn't be an issue?

I vote for Spa as an extension to the same trip too!

Perhaps you can get commitments in terms of a deposit from all those interested to mitigate your risk and secure the day. The deposits could be refundable in the case that there was insufficient take-up for the track day within a certain period of it being advertised.

I for one would be happy to participate in this type of scheme.

Oh, and I'm prepared to slum it at Spa if that's an alternative.
