Timings for the Le Mans week

When is the schedule usually finalised for things like the support race practice, qualifying, etc. ?

Had a look on the ACO website and their provisional schedule makes no reference to the support race, let alone when the qualifying for it takes place.

Interestingly, and apologies if I've missed this, but the Wednesday night is free practice only(according to one schedule it's between 6.00pm and midnight, on another it's the more traditional 7-9.00pm and then 10.00pm to midnight slots), with all the qualifying for the main race taking place on the Thursday evening.

I think this is due to the practice weekend being cancelled due to the "credit crunch". We're not there until Thursday so will miss the Wednesday practice which if it is for 6 hours is a hefty amount of tracktime to miss out on.

Ah yes, good point - I didn't make the connection until you reminded me of that.

I was thinking it was a way of adding a little more spice to qualifying by making sure all the cars were going for pole on one evening, rather than being able to choose which day because of weather conditions, etc.

Yep, I found that, but it made no reference to the support race(s), etc.

There was going to be the Classic race i think that was something 950am for an Hour and then the Forumla Lemans racers shortly after that, im sure it was previously up there, but seems to have gone now.....maybe its not happening?.

Classic race still on and always worth seeing. Last years Group C was awesome. This years' will be great too 1949 - 1965.
