Right then its my first Le Mans so I just want to make sure that I have covered every base.
The ferry, campsite and general admission tickets have been sorted by speedchills who were very good despite me being a pain in the arse.
I have checked out the beermountain website for what to take ie all the basics such as a tent (obviously) all documents yadda yadda yadda however is there any other tickets I im missing or am I on the right track?

One item you may not have thought of is to bring a pocket radio that picks up FM, plus headphones, so that you can listen to Radio Le Mans from Wednesday to late Sunday. Essential for the race too so as you know fully what's going on. I cannot think of going to Le Mans without this. You'll find a reference to this in DS240's website posting too but it's not obvious.

In case you get seperated and cheaper than a mobile, plus loads of fun when everyone has them.... last time we sent out a general message to find out the England score and some random sexy girl answered (husky voice) and told us the score and the highlights.
Plus listening to others and joining in their conversations is fun.
We had the following when passing a convoy:

I recommend earmuffs with a built in radio. The model I have is Peltor HPXS-2A. If you fancy a change you can plug you MP3 in to them.
Well worth the money.
Wet wipes, sun cream, plenty of water if it's hot, toilet roll, travel insurance, EHIC errm...must be lots more, have a search, you're not the first person to ask the question

Thanks for the replies everyone. Yeah I know about the radios I listened to radio Le Mans from home last year how sad! SO will definately be carrying one on me.
Unlike a lot of people im going for the race not just the piss up althought I will be participating in that sport as well
and im looking forward to the atmosphere of the whole event as well.

See you on the speedchills camping site mate, my second year with them and wont be using anyone else. CLEAN toilets and showers on site, and for US only as its all fenced off from the rest of the camping area in BSJ.
Dont forget your Breakdown cover, EHIC or E111 copies of everything to do with the car, ins, licence, v5 etc hi-viz vest and warning triangle.
Cant think of much else but the club arnage guides very good.

I agree about the radios sold at the circuit, they are c**p. I take a simple FM pocket radio (mine's an Aiwa, who are they you may ask!) plus a quality set of fully closed Sony headphones and get great sound, that is both the radio commentary and from the cars on track!
Being in Maison Blanche tribune, Sunday morning at 5:00, Sun up, 'phones on, some beers done already..what could be better?

As for earphones, as a regular commuter on the Underground you don't need massive earmuffs, you'll do fine with a set of ear canal headphones that seal inside your ear and block out ambient noise, eg:

Some bins might come in handy if you're a bit blind like me. Wet wipes and bog roll are a good idea too...
