TAG Help please

Need some advice please

I’ve got a TAG Aqua Racer, which is around 2 years old

About a week ago, I noticed that the second hand is moving erratically. Essentially it doesn’t move for a short time and then quickly moves ahead 4 seconds. Apart from that, it keeps perfect time (and has done since I noticed this).

Someone who claims he has had a few nice watches told me that this is an “early warning” that the battery is dying and that it has about a month of life left in it.

Can anyone comment on the symptom or the opinion?

BTW: If it is the battery, is this an expensive job (ie service/seals Etc)?

My TAG does that when its battery is running out.

Can't remember how much a replacement is as I haven't bought one for years. Not very expensive though.
