I picked this up today and it made it up from Edinburgh in the pissing rain (apart from the last 20 miles where I got the roof off)with no major problems, it stutters a little and has a small coolant leak from somewhere around the radiator but it did not overheat.
So it needs a rolling road tune up and new hoses and radiator(I was aware of this before I bought it), can anybody recommend a decent garage in Eastern/Central Scotland who can tune it and service it?
Also is it a good idea to put some radweld in the system to fix the leak until I get the radiator sorted out?
Thanks
Robert.

Hi Robert,

Loving the car!!!

Not sure about garages near you, but I know many use MP supercars down the Edinburgh coast?

As for rolling roads, a few about but in Glenrothes you have both Falkland and RJM

Cheers

Thanks Ally, the paintwork is in superb condition, the previous owner spent a lot of money getting it fully resprayed and then hardly drove it,I was thinking about putting some sort of paint protection film on it, would this be in your area of expertise?

I have stuck my head round the door of the garage a few times, just for a wee look, it does look good.

Geting film done at the moment is a complete nightmare, Defendall have at least a months waiting list at the moment, testimony as to how good their product is really! Then it depends if they have the templates for your car, if not then its a longer job ( typically 3 days ) as its done bespoke and totally by hand - But if you want the details have a look at www.defendall.com and get in touch.

Cheers

Ally

Saw you on Union Street yesterday, just before you passed the old Porsche Speedster or 356 (I think). Looked absolutely fantastic! You still got the Punto?

No not me, I have not been up to Aberdeen in it yet, I still have the Punto for commuting, the TVR is a weekend toy.

Try Russel Patterson Morgan in Perth? They do film application - not sure if its Defendall they do (they don't seem to be on the approved vendor list in that link) or one of the competitors but my mate was very happy with the finish he got...

Looks very smart sir. As a recent convert to Wedges as an ex Chimaera owner, that one in that colour looks particulary good. Has it been "smoothed out" a little??

One comment, is that roll bar any use, looks to me a if your head would be above it.

Hi Matt, hope all is well?

Its Russell I spoke to, they are flat out at the moment! They have a few issues with sheer workload and new staff etc so are doing all their work in Perth ( But a potential for an Edinburgh branch hopefully soon).
