Interestingly the Evora is using P Zeros. Wonder if they are a bespoke Lotus compound.

Possibly. Its worth remembering that Pielli make several versions of the Rosso.
The Elise was originally fitted with Assymetricos, there are also Nero, Rosso and a probably a couple of others. I think you'll find some Fezzas come from the factory on P-Zeros.

Remember reading an interview with the Evora engineers when they were evaluating a large number of Yokohama compounds - presumably the P Zeros were the best fit. Wonder if this will change Lotus medium term tyre strategy with the S3 Elise /replacement tyres for the S1/2.

Porsche spec the Rossos as a standard fit tyre and they get excellent reviews apart from not lasting all that long and the Nero (which I think Ferrari use) is supposed to be brilliant.

I had Neros on my Jag and they worked well. Didn't like the Assymetricos my Elise came with though

P Zero's aren't a bad tyre, they just didn't suit the S1 particularly well in anything other than dry conditions, hence the Advans.

actually that last line is actually nearer the point....

Evora is a similar weight/setup to a 430, and Pirelli probably have the best 'off the shelf' tyre for this.
