Yeah yeah yeah, I searched the darned forum for "brake + pads", 4 topics came up, none
mentioning the pads I need, and after reading so much princess/cortina/granada stuff I just
wanted to be sure.

Sorry about the photo not showing the whole caliper. I was actually taking a picture of the leading
link for the Sussex auto-breakers to compare to their parts in stock.

Does anyone make a rebuild kit for these calipers? I've got one skinny pad and one fat pad on each side
so it looks like the calipers have siezed up a bit. Luckily the rotors look good. smile What pads do I use?
Part number?

Thanks Wedg1e, having been an avid fan of your posts I know you're one of, if not the THE most knowledgable
wedge guy here. I post a pic link from the back side of the rotor just to make sure:
http://img76.imageshack.us/img76/1761/img0428.jpg It's a lot easier to return a part 200 miles than
5,000 if you happen to be wrong. Can you confirm this please? Thanks. What pads do I use?

Sadly frown this pic also shows why I need the body off the car. If you look closely you can see the crack
where my lower control arm (lower wishbone in brit-speak?) bolts to the chassis. Horizontally this crack
actually goes around 3/4's of the 3x3" or so angled vertical member. frown

I shall prevail. Long live the wedges! biggrin

Thanks for the praise Brap, but there are people who know lots more than I do, honest!

That caliper looks more or less like the standard Ford twin-piston job, however the pic is too dark for me to be able to see the crack. I tried turning the monitor brightness up until my eyeballs bled but to no avail... biggrin

Dunno how you could miss it wedgie, it's massive.... crack in blue... cracked member in green, path and progression of crack in yellow.

And wedgie, you're obviously a modest guy, but you're still my wedge guru whether you like it or not.

So what's the story guys, Granada, Girling or what?

You lot are pulling my leg... or I need a new monitor. That pic is WAY too dark to see anything here.

And yes, that is me in the top pic, in the blue shirt behind the interior mirror. As you can see I have a huge body but a tiny head hehe

If your looking for pads I would take one out and down to your local garage and they should have a book with pad shapes so they should be able to let you know the make of caliper and pad so you can get a service kit.
