Is it me, or have 'ring stickers become a status symbol. Im not going to claim to be some ring demon, and only i should be aloud to adorn my stead with the holy sticker. I have been a fair few times now and before going i have to say I would not have thought to of put a sticker on my car. Just recently though it seems that every other car has one on the back.

I saw a basic spec Z4 the other day, with not only several ///M badges on the back and other tat but he also had a ring sticker. It had Redline written through the midddle so had clearly been given away with a magazine.

This is just another example of why I have removed my sticker . . for good. Give me a PH smiley any day!!

I agree that it is ridiculous to find it on chavved up cars, most of whom probably dont know anything about the ring.

However I get really excited when I spot one on very understated cars. I remember very clearly seeing one on an old UK campervan driving through france, completely standard in every other way. That is how it should be!

Totally agree, a nice M5 or similar with a small subtle sticker and it does look good.

A few years ago my Father had put 'ring sticker on his Smart car!!

He had been to the ring but on his bike, not the car.

And it has a nice little 'ring sticker on the back smile

I have them on two cars, both of which I have driven on the NS. My personal rule is only to put them on cars that have been used there. I don't care much about the make of car though. I have seen some pretty ordinary cars being driven very well there.

I used to have one on a Mini Convertible. Cause I went to the ring and did about 30 laps!! (admitidly, not in the Mini!!)

Hope this isn't against the spirit of it!!

Wondering about having a PH smilie on the front bumper (silver MX5). What do you recon?!?

Cheers

I think you should only be allowed to buy them at the 'ring and only one sold per vehicle.

That would keep it for genuine ring cars only.

There's a Corsa 'A' near me with 'Ring stickers. It also has some rather natty seat covers and a few other chavtastic stickers that tell me it's not a 'Ring machine. And further up the road, a Golf mk4 with no less than three 'Ring stickers.

I might put some photos of the Corsa up tomorrow, it's ridiculous enough smile

I saw one on a chavved up Citroen C2 the other day, along with a "I love speedbumps" sticker confused

I think it's supposed to be ironic, but it's just not funny in my opinion.

I was going to post something similar Jim.

Someone who definitely deserves one on a "boring" car is this person:
