Central locking fault need help

I have a 1998 C180 sport manual w202. I had a problem with the car starting the battery kept going flat so i took it to a auto electrician who told me there was a hole in the battery and one of the cells was empty. So after having the battery replaced he rang me to say the central locking would not work and did i want him to have a look at it i said yes so he said he would call me later. When he rang me he said he had had a look but could not find the problem. I have to open the door with my key but it will only open the drivers door, the locking switch on my dash doesnt work nor does my boot release and to fill up i have to use the manual overide behind the fuel cap. Can anyone help as this is doing my nut in?
