Passat TDI outside temp

My passat estate TDI 2002 had a leak n/s footwell I sealed the pollen filter box and dried it out. Outside temp does what it wants now, usually -20ish, rear wiper is on all the time and boot sensor inop, got water in the o/s footwell now is that on the bulkhead too is there another grommet to push out or anything?? Cheers

More than likely on your convenience control unit being contaminated with water, its in a (supposedly water tight) box under the passenger footwell carpet. Also check the multi plugs behind the passenger side kick plate. Lots of rewiring if the plugs are contaminated unfortunately, grey plug usually suffers the worst.
