www.locostbuilders.co.uk would be the place to go. They have a forum there.

Not an expert on them myself but i would definately consider the inboard front suspension option over the original.

The Indy R with the inboard suspension is a technical step forward without a doubt. It is however £600 more then the basic chassis kit.

It is designed to stop bump steer and tidy up aero at the front end. What are you doing with the kit. road, track, race? If you are going to exploit the characteristics of the R then it is worth it.

I only wish they had designed it to be an upgrade to the existing chassis. I think that was a mistake. That and almost doubling the price of the naked chassis!

Also worthy of note is the fact that a new revised body kit is coming out for the Indy. This is only a tidy up of the trim to align it with the new IVA (slightly rounded endges).

It is a good 7'esque car and the engine options are great. Are you bike of car engine preferenced?

The Indy R is the correct one to go for, despite the extra £600. That's going to be a small proportion of the overall cost, and, as the old saying goes, "don't spoil the ship for a ha'pworth of tar"

thanks guys, this is my first build as i might of said, and i'm on a budget for the minute, so i was planning on using a sierra ohc engine and most of the parts from said donor, with a view to engine upgrades at a later date. a 20v supercharged 4 age sounds like an interesting prospect smile

Being as you are on a budget, you might be better off buying a second hand correctly registered built car instead, then rebuilding and refurbishing it as and when.

This will definitely be cheaper than building from scratch.
