Hello,
The saga of the 'rare as hen's teeth' flywheel bolts is now over and my car is back with me. Many thanks, it would have been sat with Vauxhall indefinitely otherwise! I can't believe how difficult it was to convince them it was safe for me to supply them with bolts!
For those who haven't a clue what I'm on about, my car was in with Vaux to have the rear main seal replaced and had been stuck on one of their ramps because they were unable to source the necessary bolts to put it back together! To be fair to vaux, once I had them on side and they knew I needed the car urgently they did give me a bit more of a personal service and did pull the stops out a bit.
As an aside, the clutch felt a bit odd initially so I pulled over and frantically pumped it for a little while. After that it seems fine now.
Good to be back in the seat, for two weeks now I'd been driving around in a 1.2 Agila (oh yes) so am still getting used to the beast again. First time I nailed it during a 2nd gear overtake I nearly shat one. Who needs supercharging? Just drive a cack car for a bit.
Having the Wortec put back on loud tomorrow after VMAX so normality will soon be restored (nobbed strut bearings aside).

Cool, glad it got sorted in the end! Though i do have to point out that if you had to pump the pedal, there is air in the clutch system. It "may" work its own way out. You will know in the morning. If the pedal is still soft it will need re-bleeding, though quite why they disconnected it would be a good question
