worth getting a few quotes...
for main dealers;
Maranello at Egham (As Mark says negotiate but they know their stuff)
Carrs of Exeter (they pick up and drop off in a covered traler for a very reasonable fee and you get the benefit of lower labour rates due to location - they have just done mine)
Indies
Autoficcina
Grimaldi
QV London

looking at what you said/profile you have a 1 year old 599. therefore its going to be a main dealer not an independent. realistically you have hr owen & maranello nearish plus graypaul and lancaster further away. Im london based and used to use lancaster colchester for my maserati, they collect and deliver for free, drivers are nice older guys who drive all the range of both ferrari and maserati. cost wise they are cheaper than the london ones (major service there cost me same as minor elsewhere).for me its between them and graypaul notts when my 430 next needs service (graypaul as they know my car). In the past i have had disappointing experiences with maranello including nonsense such as selling me a power warranty on my 355 then when i claimed telling me it was invalid as my car was lhd. obviously they missed that bit in the 101 point inspection! this was a few years ago now though and ownership has changed. As to the independents, i moved servicing my 355 to Verdi and became one of their many fans. For an older car it would go to them for sure, for a current model car i think there will still be a resale issue having a non auth dealer stamp in the service history
