Le Mans first timer

Having left my booking to the very last minute, i´m looking for some advice. My friends are driving over, but as i live in Spain i shall be flying to Paris. Has anybody had the same experience of using the trains?

I have also just booked my camping pitch at the Bleu Sud which has a pitch of 7*5m but as i´m not driving i shall only be pitching one tent so there is more space available.

Getting the train from CDG airport is very straightforward.

There is a free airport shuttle train between the terminals which stops at the Gare.
Book the TGV online from CDG to Le mans, the journey time is about 1hr 40 mins.

You can then get the tram from outside the station which will take you to Houx annexe, its then a bit of a walk to Bleu Sud. Alternatively you could get a taxi, or possibly the bus to oasis which is probably nearer.

I believe there is now a fast train from CDG to Le Mans which takes 50 mins. Should be easy enough. Get on the tram to Antares and have someone pick you up from there as it's the other side of the track from Bleu

If you aren't arriving in a vehicle then strictly speaking you don't need a camping pass. Can't you squeeze in with your mates?

Unfortunately there is no room on there pitch so i have had to buy my own, the total price with a grandstand ticket was about 290€. Which i did not think was too bad.
